Born out of a group with almost 60 years of experience in maritime transportation, PETROMARINE was founded in 1966 for the development of the coastal oil trade in West Africa.

With ships particularly well adapted for coastal trade, PETROMARINE operates a fleet of vessels fitted to carry all refined petroleum products from the heaviest to the lightest : bitumen, fuel, gasoil, jet fuel, gasoline, LPG.
Most of our vessels are IMO II and certified to carry a large range of chemical products.
Each vessel has specific advantages : segregation up to 6 grades, large pumping capacity, good ratio between cubic capacity, deadweight tonnage and draft. Some vessels are fitted for bunkering operations with fenders, hoses, flowmeters, blender,…
All ships of the company are classed with IACS classification
societies, served by French officers assisted by foreign
crew members specially recruted and trained in their
native country.

Many years before the international regulations have come into force, PETROMARINE has been recognized by Bureau Veritas to be in accordance with the criteria of IMO A 741(18) for the safety management and operation of oil, gas and chemical carriers and for the prevention of pollution (ISM Code).
